Example: a magic school

1 · What is different? Spoken promises make magic stronger.

2 · Who is affected? Students who cannot or are forbidden to speak need help from others.

3 · How do people adapt? They develop an unofficial form of sign-based magic.

4 · What goes wrong? The school claims to offer equal access but bans this practice.

5 · Why does it matter? During an exam, the protagonist must use forbidden signs to save another student.
